As your wedding reception coordinator:
Prior to reception:
- Provide information needed for the reception
- Establish time line for reception
- Open communication to all vendors
Day of reception:
- Arrive at the reception at the appropriate time
- Communicate any last minute changes
- Following ceremony, attend to any needs of the bride and groom
- Inform caterer when the ceremony is over, so they can set appetizer table
- When pictures are complete, I will inform the DJ so he can be ready to introduce wedding party and bride and groom
- If choosing to have a buffet style dinner, I will dismiss tables to buffet
- I will serve bride and groom, if you choose
- Assist with the cake cutting
- Coordinate all those participating in the toast
- Coordinate first dance, father/bride and mother/groom dance
- Coordinate flower and garter toss
I work with the vendors, such as the DJ and let him/her know what we are doing so he can announce accordingly. I will assist the bride and groom with details or changes. I work with the caters to make sure the food is ready and served hot when it is time to eat. My role is to maintain the flow of the wedding reception and make sure that the bride and groom have time with their guests.
